The demonstration on 19 January in Hanoi was to mark the 42nd anniversary of the conflict in which China took control of a cluster of around 40 islets, outcrops and reefs in the South China Sea. That South China Sea war killed " million soldiers" from both side of Vietnam and China. Remembering to that Sino-Vietnam war, the old generation are hesitate to talk because young generation will have no "motivation" in making war.
